Drone

I’m thrilled to be releasing my latest novella, Drone, on 24 April.

ONCE YOU HEAR IT…

Gallagher’s life on the island should be idyllic. Yet his scenic, remote farm turns a meagre profit and provides little distraction from his vices.

When a strange noise infects the island’s inhabitants, Gallagher’s rural life is infiltrated by tension and unease. His neighbours become unpredictable and dangerous, threatening the fabric of island life beyond anything Gallagher has ever known.

As the community descends into fear and violence, Gallagher finds a way to silence the sound, but is this slice of peace worth the terrible cost?

It’s been four years since I last released a novella. It’s a form I absolutely love for horror. It is expansive enough to allow details to creep in, but short enough to condense tension and fear down to their most potent.

This novella poured out of me in three weeks in the summer of 2025. I’ve reduced it down to its fighting weight and genuinely cannot wait for readers to get their hands on this one.

Should you want a copy, you can get one from Amazon or you can order the signed, personalised version from Northern Republic directly.

Elsewhere, I’ve recently completed my novel The Beacons and am making some enquiries about getting this one to market. I’ve now moved onto the next book, Limited Series to see if I can (finally) knock this monkey off my back and get that one finished.

I’ll also have another novella, The Passenger out towards the end of the year. More details on that one nearer the time.
